Hey there! Remember me? Yes, I’m still alive. Hehe.
It’s been quite a busy few days, because I have been doing some major soul-searching and life-planning. If you have been following my blog for a while, you probably know the reason why I consider myself “scatter-brained” – I have a hard time not getting motivated and inspired and try to take on way too much at once. However, I’ve been doing what I can to change that…it can be a bit overwhelming.
As you may have noticed, I did not post a Weekly Chase post this week, and there is a reason for that. I am sorry to say, I have to let it go. I started the project with so many ideas in mind, and, well, life has certainly thrown me a curve ball. Six months ago when I started the chase, I hadn’t been planning to make the decision to start my own business as a photographer. (The official establishment of it all will happen after the New Year. Right now I’m just working out details and doing what I can to make my portfolio a little more robust.)
I don’t want to go into that too much right now, because I’ve already posted about that decision. I don’t want to hound you with that again! In regards to the Weekly Chase, Mindy of Road Runner Girl and Molly Ritterbeck have offered to take it over in a joint effort to keep it going. I love them for that. I feel as though they’ll be able to mold it into something closer to what I had in mind. I admit, I am disappointed that I couldn’t focus on it enough, but I don’t regret making the decision to be honest and up front about the fact that I just have to weigh my options and let it go. (Besides, it’s not fair that those of you who linked up weren’t hearing from me! I would read everything, but commenting recently? I’ve been a terrible commenter. Terrible.) With that said, I’m handing it over to Mindy and Molly, and they’ll be making the magic happen after the New Year.
So. Where does that leave this blog?
Well, I now control two websites, and that means I must must must get better organized. This is going to have to be balanced just right. (Did I mention I have an interview with the Department of Forensic Science in two weeks? Cross your fingers for me? I have to weigh the possibility of that job, too.) This blog, luckily, has never been driven by one single topic, so it leaves me plenty of room to breathe. Want to want to see happen is to use this blog as a platform to continue to chronicle my journey from weight loss to running but also to start incorporating what I learn as my career begins to finally take shape. Who knows? This blog just turned three…it’s not going anywhere.
The last, but most important, thing I want to address before I end this randomness of a post is a thank you. A thank you to all of you. Your kindness in response to my Thanksgiving post is absolutely, 100% appreciated. It was so wonderful to read your comments in regards to my past, and they reminded me of just how far I’ve come with so many of you on my side. You’re a blessing to have in my corner. Thank you. So very much.
